President's Message - 2005

October 27, 2005

Time is here to begin thinking about Reno, Nevada in July 2006.

Thanks to Frank Goodwin, plans are well underway for the 2006 reunion at the Eldorado Hotel & Casino from Wed., July 26th (Early Check-in) through Sun., July 30th (Check Out Date).

Our 2006 Association Membership Application is available on this site. I am requesting that each of you fill out the complete form whether you are paying your annual dues or joining for the first time. The information on the Membership Application helps keep our member directory information current. Our future depends upon your continued support.

We are asking that everyone make reservations for the 2006 reunion early. If you later decide you can’t attend, you can cancel your reservation without penalty prior to 24 hours of your schedules arrival date.  Our Association has set aside 50 rooms at the Eldorado Hotel & Casino. These rooms will be on hold until July 5, 2006. If all 50 rooms are booked in advance, we can set aside an additional block of rooms if need be. We will once again have our Hospitality Suite with open bar. Plans are underway to schedule the Hospitality Suite so as to be open each day and evening as many hours as possible. When making your Hotel reservations, please ask for Group Reservation Department at 800-648-5966. You must reference our group block SATS/EAF ASSOCIATION-GROUP CODE SATS0724.

We have group hotel room rates for this event. These room rates are available from July 24 (Check In) to August 2nd (Check Out) for those wishing to extend their visit to Reno, NV.

 1. Deluxe Accommodation – Sunday/Thursday             $69.99 plus tax/fee   total   $85.44

2. Deluxe Accommodation – Friday/Saturday               $109.99 plus tax/fee   total $174.88

The total room rate includes airport shuttle, self-parking, and valet parking.

The Association Banquet Dinner is on Saturday evening, July 29, at 7:00 p.m., with a reception and group photo session from 6:00 to 7:00 at the Eldorado Hotel.  Other activities are in the planning stage and further announcements will be posted in the future.

We have a Reservation Form for you to complete and send to our treasurer, Al Wilder, so we can keep track of who is going to be in Reno, how many in each party, and who has pre-paid.

We look forward to seeing each and everyone of our many brothers and sisters at what will be one of our best reunions ever.

Semper Fidelis,

David Prendergast
President, SATS/EAF Association
